How do I share my own experience with a product?
“Community Views” lets you share your experiences with any product in our catalogue with the community, and read what others have shareed.
Every product in the Tech Guide has a Community views section on its page. This is where you can read what other people thought of that particular product.
You can also share your own experience with any of the products in our catalogue.
Sharing your experience does require you to have an account on the Tech Guide and to be logged in. This is because we carefully moderate all comments to make sure they’re relevant and to avoid abuse.
Get started
First, visit the page in the Tech Guide for the product you’re interested in.
To find the Community views section you can either scroll down the page or click Community views on the in-page navbar.

You will see something like the image below.

(If there are already comments shared on this product, you’ll see them listed underneath.)
Not logged in?
If you’re not logged in, you won’t see the Share your view button. Instead, there’ll be a prompt to sign into your account (or create one if you don’t already have one set up).
Share your view
Click the Share your view button. The button will be replaced by the form below.

Use the two Yes/No buttons to answer the question of whether you like the product.
Then share the reasons why you feel this way. Remember that people who read your comment will want to understand what motivates you, so try and be useful to them in what you write.
Your text comment needs to be at least 12 characters long, and no more than 280 characters. You will see a counter at the bottom right as you type so that you know how you’re doing.
Click the Share button and your comment will be saved.
Note that it will not be immediately visible to everyone. We carefully moderate all comments to make sure they’re relevant (e.g. avoiding spam) and avoid abuse. You will see your own comment but there’s an orange warning reminding you that no-one else can see it yet.
