How do I use the Tech Guide?

A quick overview of what you can do with the Parkinson's UK Tech Guide.

The Tech Guide has four areas you might use.

Catalogue

This is the heart of the Tech Guide. Click "Catalogue" in the menu at the top of the window on any page of the Tech Guide to explore the catalogue. (On a mobile device, first tap the three-lines "burger" menu in the top right corner of your device, then tap "Catalogue" on the menu that appears.)

Learn

Many of the products in the catalogue have useful articles linked to them from elsewhere within Parkinson's UK. Thing like "what is freezing of gait?" or "where can I find exercise advice?"

You can explore all of this material in one place by clicking "Learn" in the menu at the top of the window on any page of the Tech Guide. (On a mobile device, first tap the three-lines "burger" menu in the top right corner of your device, then tap "Learn" on the menu that appears.)

Profile

The Tech Guide is open for everyone to read. There's no need to create and account or share your personal information to explore our catalogue or get any of our information.

There are a few things you might want for which we have to ask for your personal information.

  • Get updates from the Tech Guide emailed to you to hear about new reviews or other content.
  • Get a free copy of our print edition posted to you to browse our catalogue or share with others.
  • [Coming soon] Share your own experience with a product so others in the community can benefit.
