Common Questions

Impartiality and transparency

Is there any connection between Charco Neurotech and Parkinson's UK?

We write our reviews based entirely on the experience and feedback of people with Parkinson's themselves. But we feel that it's important you know about any relationships that exist between Parkinson's UK and the companies who make the products we review.

Charco Neurotech have previously sponsored the Parkinson's UK Research Conference Par-Con (in 2021), and also sponsored the Walk For Parkinson's event series in 2024. In all cases, our sponsorship contracts make clear that the sponsor gets no benefits other than their name being displayed at the relevant event. In particular, we clearly say that sponsorship will not affect the outcome of our product review process or the views we publish.

We also have a series of policies and practices in place to make sure that our review is independent of any existing relationship between our organisations or staff. If you'd like to find out more about this, you can read about it here.
