Overview

Last updated: 6 August 2024

SpeechVive is an ear-mounted speech device designed to help people with Parkinson's speak louder and more clearly by using an auditory cue.

The SpeechVice device automatically tunes to your voice when you begin to talk. When you speak, the SpeechVive plays a “babble” sound cue in your ear. The cue triggers your reflex to speak louder as sound around you increases.

What the manufacturer says:

- Automatically tunes into your voice

- Sound cue triggers you to speak 50-75% louder than your typical speaking volume

- When you’re not speaking, the SpeechVive device is silent, allowing you to hear your conversation
