Is there any connection between YourMEDS and Parkinson’s UK?
No, there is no commercial or financial relationship between us.
We have a series of policies and practices in place to make sure that our review is independent of any existing relationship between our organisations or staff. If you’d like to find out more about this, you can read about it in our transparency statement.
Background information on YourMEDS
YOURmeds aims to simplify the way in which medication can be managed.
The packs‘ ’smart tag’ is powered by mobile technology so wifi is not needed to operate the system.
When it’s time to take your medication a number comes up on the screen and the unit beeps 6 times. The alarms and beeping can be personalised to fit in with your daily schedule. Once you access the medication, the beeping stops and the next alarm time is shown in the top left hand corner. If you don’t access your medication within 30 minutes or take the wrong ones, we can inform your network of family and friend via the YOURmeds supporter app or through an email.
The starter pack comes with all of the hardware, access to the YOURmeds supporter app and 13 trays and seals. The trays can accommodate up to 4 rounds a day.
Other frequently asked questions
I don’t want to fill the packs myself can a pharmacy do them for me?
Yes, YOURmeds can arrange this through one of their pharmacy partners. Your prescription will be renominated to their internet pharmacy partners and they will issue your prescription to you through the post
How do you change over the medication trays?
With a press of a button,the lid is released, you pull out the old tray and insert a new tray. Please check out the manual for full instructions or visit the YOURmeds website for a video demonstration.
How do you change the alarm times?
YOURmeds can change the alarm times remotely for you from their office. You can send an email to support@yourmeds.net with your name and postcode in the email subject line and the new alarm times you want setting up.
