LaserCue is a walking stick attachment that uses a visual laser cue to help people with freezing of gait.

When turned on, the laser projects a red line onto the ground in front of the user. The laser line on the ground gives a visual cue or target to aim for as you step, which can help trigger the first walking step, break freezing episodes and increase stride length.

Inspired by the LaserCane, the LaserCue can attach to almost all walking sticks and is available in both a left handed and right handed option.

Questions

Is there any connection between Attainability and Parkinson’s UK?

Attainability provided 6 LaserCane devices at a 50% discount to support our LaserCane panel review. Parkinson’s UK paid the remainder and passed the devices directly to the reviewers.

Parkinson’s UK has in the past sold products from Attainability in our Living Aids Shop.

We have a series of policies and practices in place to make sure that our review is independent of any existing relationship between our organisations or staff. If you’d like to find out more about this, you can read about it in our transparency statement.
